Frequently Asked Questions

How does LED light therapy work?

LED light therapy delivers specific wavelengths of light energy directly to your skin cells. Red light (630nm) boosts collagen production and cellular repair, near-infrared (850nm) penetrates deeper to improve firmness and elasticity, and blue light (460nm) targets and destroys acne-causing bacteria. It's the same technology used in dermatology clinics — now available at home in 10 minutes.

Is it safe for all skin types?

Yes. LED light therapy is non-invasive, non-UV, and safe for all skin types and tones. The medical-grade silicone is hypoallergenic. If you have a specific skin condition, we recommend consulting your dermatologist before use.

Can I use it if I'm pregnant or taking medication?

Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, epileptic, or taking photosensitizing medications such as antibiotics, retinoids, or acne treatments. LED light therapy is non-UV and generally considered safe, but individual medical circumstances vary.

Is the light safe for my eyes?

The LED wavelengths used in Renuveil are non-UV and non-laser. However, we recommend keeping your eyes closed during treatment for comfort. The mask design naturally shields your eyes from direct light exposure.

How often should I use Renuveil?

For best results, use Renuveil once daily. Choose from three session lengths: 5, 10, or 15 minutes — 10 minutes is recommended for most users. The mask auto-shuts off when the session is complete. Most users see visible improvements within 4–8 weeks of consistent use.

How long until I see results?

Most users notice improved skin texture and radiance within 2–3 weeks. More significant results — reduced fine lines, firmer skin, clearer complexion — typically appear at the 4–8 week mark with consistent daily use.

Can I adjust the brightness?

Yes. Renuveil has three intensity levels — 50%, 75%, and 100% power. If you have sensitive skin or are just starting out, begin at 50% for your first week to let your skin adjust, then step up to 75% and eventually full power. All three levels deliver clinically effective light — the lower settings just take longer to accumulate the same total energy dose, which makes them ideal for building tolerance gradually.

Can I use it with my existing skincare products?

Yes, but apply your serums and creams after your Renuveil session, not before. Clean, dry skin allows the light wavelengths to penetrate most effectively. After your 10-minute treatment, layer on your favorite products — LED therapy can actually help your skin absorb them better.

How do I charge it?

Renuveil charges via USB-C. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides 4–6 sessions depending on intensity level — fewer at full power, more at 50%. No cords needed during treatment — it's 100% wireless.

Is Renuveil waterproof?

No. Renuveil is not waterproof and should not be used in the shower or submerged in water. Keep the mask dry during use and storage. To clean, wipe down with a dry or lightly damp cloth.

What does Renuveil do that other LED masks don't?

Renuveil delivers 3 clinical wavelengths (630nm red, 850nm near-infrared, and 460nm blue) — most competitors only offer 1–2. It's 100% wireless with no external controller, uses medical-grade silicone instead of hard plastic for full-face contact, and runs programmable 5, 10, or 15-minute sessions — most competitors lock you into 15–20 minute treatments. Sub-$100 masks use low-powered LEDs with inaccurate wavelengths. The difference is the same as comparing a toy stethoscope to a real one.

How does Renuveil compare to professional treatments?

Professional LED therapy sessions cost $50–$200 each. Dermatologists recommend 2–3 sessions per week for 4–8 weeks — that's $3,000+ for a full course of treatment. Renuveil is $329 one-time with unlimited daily use. It pays for itself after just 2–3 professional sessions.

What does "nm" mean?

"nm" stands for nanometer — the unit used to measure wavelengths of light. Think of it like a radio station frequency: just like 97.1 FM plays a different station than 101.3 FM, 630nm produces a different color of light than 850nm. Each wavelength penetrates your skin to a different depth and triggers different cellular responses.

What certifications does Renuveil have?

  • CE Certified — independently tested for electromagnetic safety under EU standards
  • FCC Compliant — verified compliant with US FCC Part 15 regulations
  • FDA Registered — manufactured in a facility registered with the US FDA
  • RoHS Compliant — every component tested free from lead, mercury, cadmium, and other restricted hazardous substances

Note: "FDA Registered" means the manufacturing facility is listed with the FDA — this is different from "FDA Cleared," which requires a separate 510(k) submission. LED light therapy devices in this category are classified as low-risk wellness devices.
